Better Heart Foundation USA is a North Carolina–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing access to life-saving pediatric cardiac surgical care in resource-limited settings across East Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East.

We work hand in hand with Better Heart Foundation India and a trusted network of surgeons, hospitals, and health ministries around the world. Together, we operate as one global movement with a shared belief: no child's life should be limited by where they were born.

Our Mission

    Congenital heart disease is one of the most common birth defects in the world, yet in many regions, surgical care is out of reach. We bring expert surgical teams and resources directly to the children who need them.

    We train local teams.

    Every mission is designed to teach — mentoring local surgeons, nurses, and care teams so that each hospital we serve grows stronger and more self-sufficient with every visit. Our ultimate goal is a world where our help is no longer needed.
